I messed up my hood and someone suggested I put a facelift hood on I wanna know if it will sit flush with the headlights because I think the shape of the grills would look good with the pre-facelift thanks. Reply Like. A lot of people own pre-face lift so I can see why it can be associated with e46 non-m. Additionally M3 has the pre-face lift corners and we know that is a timeless car! I own a facelift but like the pre-facelift better. Pre-facelift is very classic, while the facelift is more feminine looking. I prefer the facelift coupe. Looks cleaner/fresher. The factory bumper covers on a pre-facelift are too bland for me. That said, I think the pre-facelift with a full M-Tech 2 kit looks great. Facelift sedan is best looking sedan while prefacelift coupe is my fav coupe (imo) If you’re going for a 318 go 2001+ as they have the newer n42 engine replacing the m43 (better economy and +40% power) Edit: and the coupe is larger than the sedan and is proportioned better, so coupe all the way!

The connectors/plug for post has two columns. Each columns has 4 pole each. ^^^ Post-facelift plug/connector ^^^ The pre-facelift uses a 6 pole connectors w/6 brushing contacts/wires. The connectors/plug for the pre has one column with 6 pole running in single file line. ^^^ Pre-facelift plug/connector ^^^ More to come. stand by
02 325i / 07 CBR 600rr. No, Coupe hood will not fit, M3 hood will not fit, preface lift hood might fit, but facelift lines > prefacelift. Facelift lines go from the corner of the grill toward the corners of the hood, rather than just straight up the middle. The grill is also updated (less square). The coupe has completely different measurements and angles in different parts. CANNOT do a simple bolt on. This requires fabrication whether its a normal coupe, facelift coupe, or M3 coupe (more involved because fender flare). If you are doing facelift coupe front you will only need the front corner section of the facelift fender.
Start by pushing the back of the headlight down and pushing it forward at the same time from the back. Then do the other half of the procedure in the front. Really, if you have a friend, this would make it a lot easier as he (or you) can hold the headlight trim while you (or him) can wiggle out the headlight.
The taillights now show the typical L-shaped lights, compared to the more square look of the previous model. LEDs are also standard. Personally I really dislike the pre-facelift rear. Looks weird to me. And I also think the facelift front looks a little off. Not as "smooth" as it should be. What I like about my setup too is both the front and the rear have a little design line design line on the bottom about 3" up.
As for pre-facelift E46, although the guides on these bumpers will most likely fit the pre-facelift guides, my body shop recommends attaching the bumper using bolts for a more secure fitment, and taking off the brackets. Same process as for the face-lifted E46. *NOTE* Please be advised that this bumper requires prep work and primer before painting.

This weekend, I took the time to compare photographs to see just how different they are. Pre-Bangle BMW is my single favorite design aesthetic. The E39 M5, E46 M3, E31 8 series, E24 6 series, E30 3 series, 2002, and E9 are all all-timers. The E90/E92 (E93 is gross) M3s and E53 are the only designs I love from the Bangle era, and they've gotten worse since.
