The only way to get my boot open was to cut the end of the strut off that was protruding through the rear spoiler. My local citroen dealer quoted me 180 euros for a new electric strut but their supplier had none in stock. A citroen dealer in England quoted me 220 pounds. The only one I could find on German ebay was 150 euros, 2nd hand.
